When finished with the 2 "creatures", digital art students move on to create a scene. Each setting is a combination of 6 different images and contains a foreground, middle ground, and background.
Digital Art | Mythological Creatures
Digital Art students are developing their own "creatures" by combining at least 3 animals together. The next step is to create a scene using images of various landscapes.
Animals in Art | MN Animal Silhouette Dot Painting
8th grade students have drawn their animal silhouettes and began to add a pattern in the background. The next step will be adding watercolor to the background and then finishing the animal with acrylic paint.
Mixed Media | Coil Baskets
Some of 3rd hour's finished baskets.
Some of 5th hour's finished baskets.
Baskets displayed in the hallway.
Digital Art | Mythological Creatures
Students practiced copying multiple eyes and noses/beaks on their "creatures" by using the clone stamp feature on Photoshop.
Digital Art students also used the clone stamp to practice transferring texture from one animal to another.
