After drawing the silhouette, students created a colored pencil pattern in the background. They used watercolor paint to fill the spaces between the repeating elements of their patterns and then painted the entire silhouette black.
After painting the silhouettes black, the students will be adding a series of dots in a pattern of their choice. To practice this, students creating rows of straights lines on construction paper using the pointillism technique.
