The second group of Animals in Art students are in the process of creating their 1st project. This project focuses on the idea of pattern and creating them through repetition. Students have started to draw out their animals and fill them with different designs. We practiced transitioning from one pattern to the next as well as showing differences in values through the spacing within each pattern. The examples are somewhat difficult to see, but our next step will be to add color. Once they are colored we will be tracing over the designs using permanent marker to make them stand out.
