Mixed Media students are currently working on a group project. This projects takes one of Frida Kahlo's self-portraits and divides it into equal sections. Each student is expected to complete their portion of the portrait on their own before combining them together to form the finished project. Students are encouraged to plan ahead with their group so that areas that transition are either intentionally completely different or go together very well. To practice using some of the available materials students created practice squares that were divided into 4 sections. Each section needed to use a new material and have a different colors in it. Below are some examples of this practice activity.
