8th graders taking Animals in Art have been working on creating magazine collages. They were able to choose any animal, but were encouraged to pick one that is mainly a single color, preferably one that is a primary or secondary color. They learned about analogous color
schemes and based on the color of the animal they picked 2 more colors that are
located next to it on the color wheel. After printing images of their choice, we
spent a couple of days drawing the animals, collected areas of color from magazines
to fit their color schemes, and have started to glue the color into place.
