Our clay self portraits are almost complete! The students began with the background to make sure they are comfortable with using the watercolor pencils on the ceramic surface. They were encouraged to blend their own colors to make their projects unique. The last step will be to add color to the actual people in the self-portraits; this will be challenging with all of the tiny details.
